To celebrate this milestone, we’re honored to sit down with Karin Davis, Vice President of Sales at The Venetian Resort, to explore the synergies between our two organizations, a commitment to creating impactful brand spaces, and the art of client communication in delivering extraordinary event experiences.
ELX: Karin, I think it is fair to say that both ELX and The Venetian Resort are recognized as leaders in their fields. How do you see this partnership showcasing the alignment of our values, particularly around innovation and excellence?
Karin: Both ELX and The Venetian Resort are recognized as leaders in their fields and both are constantly pushing to reinvent themselves with new innovation and raise the bar even higher at every event. We both value data based decisions and have the experience within our industry in solving problems and providing a forum where our customers can generate insights by providing expertise, sharing best practices and always delivering high levels of customized services.
ELX: The Venetian Resort is known for its distinctive blend of luxury and creativity. How do these attributes influence the way you approach partnerships like this one with ELX?
Karin: The Venetian Resort is very thoughtful about staying true to its brand identity of luxury, sophisticated but also approachable Italian. Our hotel serves as the perfect platform for groups to bring their events to life in our newly remodelled space. Our venue being built for business and an integrated resort allows our customers to create new experiences and bring their vision to fruition without having to leave our campus.
These attributes are the main driver when we think about developing a new partnership like ELX. Our level of knowledge and experience of producing events of all sizes for over 25 years allow The Venetian Resort to be the perfect source of collaboration and advocacy for the ELX community.
ELX: How does The Venetian Resort create spaces that reflect and enhance the identity of the brands it works with?
Karin: Our recent announcement of $1.5B in capital improvements along with $188M in spend for our space renovation has allowed us to invigorate and reinvent our assets and experiences at The Venetian Resort. The luxury, neutral palate of our newly designed space with cutting edge digital signage allows our group customers the ability to share their message and truly own the space as their own brand. Attendees feel energized and excited as they walk through our luxury meeting space. It has been very exciting to see the transformation of the branding of our space from week to week since the Level 2 space was complete end of August.
ELX: Communication is at the heart of any successful event partnership. How does The Venetian Resort ensure a seamless dialogue with clients to deliver their vision?
Karin: Communication is at the heart of any successful event partnership. The Venetian Resort ensures a seamless dialogue with clients to deliver their vision by asking thought provoking, open ended questions to gain a true picture, beyond surface, understanding of the goals of each organization. Actively listening is a huge component of understanding. Never assuming, continuing to probe with a ‘Tell me more..’ type follow up to ensure the entire experience is shared. Our team in turn with over 25 years of meeting experience works hand and hand with each customer to help guide them toward success by avoiding obstacles and sharing ideas to help bring their vision to life.
ELX: In your experience, what trends are shaping the future of corporate events, and how is The Venetian Resort positioning itself to stay ahead of the curve?
Karin: The Venetian Resort is positioning itself to stay ahead of the curve by bringing in new restaurants, venues ad entertainment experiences on property to add and enhance the excitement of attending an event. These new options create opportunities for peers and customers to network and build rapport without the need to leave our property. New restaurants such as Cote, Bazaar Meats and Gjelina along with our newly renovated Venetian suites bring an element of unparalleled luxury and variety of options to entertain and meet with peers.

Karin: What excites me most about The Venetian Resort’s new partnership with ELX is learning and sharing of ideas and experiences to elevate one another and our industry. I am looking forward to receiving industry insights, helping our community solve problems and engaging in though provoking actionable discussions.
