Successful ELX Forum in Frankfurt Highlights Key Discussions and Future Initiatives for ELX Community

The forum kicked off with a series of member-led discussions, which were a central feature of the event as a result of member feedback from the previous years. These discussions allowed for in-depth exploration of various topics, including transparency and ethical considerations in AI usage, the challenges and limitations of AI, and the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in the global events industry.
Keynote sessions provided additional insights, such as ELX member Kate Scully's address on DEIB, emphasizing its critical role in the events industry. Nicola Kastner, ELX CEO, delivered an impactful session on the significance of data in event planning, urging professionals to leverage data effectively to demonstrate the value of their events to business stakeholders.
The event also featured a Team Harmony Workshop led by Sam McNeill from SongDivision, which underscored the power of music in team building and fostering a positive workplace environment. This interactive session received high praise for its innovative approach to enhancing team cohesion and morale.
In wrapping up the forum, the ELX team moderated a workshop summary that outlined the next steps and an action plan.
Looking ahead, ELX has already scheduled several upcoming events, including an "Ask The Experts" session on incentives set for May 30, 2024, and the ELX Annual Congress at ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas from July 10-12, 2024. These events are expected to continue the momentum generated at the Frankfurt forum, providing valuable platforms for knowledge sharing and industry advancement.
